The Helmut Seitz Award of The European Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism

The Helmut Seitz Award of The European Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism of 25,000 Euro donated by The Manfred Lautenschläger Foundation, Heidelberg, Germany, was granted for the first time in 2021 at the 18th ESBRA congress, in Timisoara, Romania.

The Award is granted to a well-established alcohol researcher who has contributed strongly to the understanding of alcohol-related and alcohol-associated diseases or the development of treatment strategies in alcohol-associated diseases. The recipient of the Award must have devoted most of his academic and research career to alcohol research.

The next award will be presented at the 19th ESBRA congress 2023, 31 August to 3 September in Graz, Austria.

Potential awardees can be either nominated by ESBRA members or, second, potential candidates can apply directly and send their application by email to office@esbra.com. Applications should include a formal application letter, a CV and a publication list.
