About the ECIC Committee

The ECIC Committee was established in February 2022, sparked by an idea from ESBRA President Prof. Mickael Naassila. The initial committee consisted of nine enthusiastic researchers chaired by Dr Elena Palma, who collectively brought this vision to life. Today, the ECIC Committee includes 14 ESBRA members from diverse backgrounds and interests, spanning 10 European countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Spain, and the UK). The committee shares a common mission: “To enhance engagement and create opportunities for collaborations within the ESBRA community, advancing alcohol-related biomedical research in Europe.”

The ECIC Committee aims to:

  • Promote research by ESBRA members, particularly early-career scientists and clinicians;
  • Increase ESBRA’s visibility through social media platforms;
  • Facilitate collaboration through regular communication and a periodic newsletter;
  • Foster networking opportunities among ECIC members;
  • Boost educational activities in alcohol research;
  • Attract new European ECIs interested in alcohol-related fields to join ESBRA.

Who We are Looking For – We are seeking scientists or clinicians:
